Life Hacker Twelve South BackPack for iMac Review

The no-clutter crowd got a lift two weeks ago — literally, a lift — when we released our updated BackPack. The new version of our popular storage shelf for iMacs and Apple Cinema Displays features vertical support pegs and built-in cable management — not to mention the ability to be mounted on either the front or back of your display.

Here’s a peek at what one of our favorite sites, Lifehacker, had to say:

“We’ve talked before about using your monitor as a storage system, and we’ve certainly mentioned the original BackPack before. The newest iteration is even handier. The small shelf attaches to an iMac or Apple Display, and can hold up to 3.5 pounds. This is great for a storing an external hard drive, but the BackPack 2 also comes with pegs so you can stack your gear up as well (you can throw a MacBook Air back there, for instance). If totally hidden isn’t your style, the BackPack 2 can also clip on the front for easy access.”
