We are so excited for WatchOS 2 – we can’t wait to customize our watch faces with Live Photos and time lapses. In our testing, we found out that HiRise for Apple Watch works with Nightstand mode. We wanted to bring together some of our favorite tips, tricks, and hints for the Apple Watch.
How to use Nightstand Mode on HiRise for Apple Watch:
Step 1: Buckle your band*. For some reason, it works better buckled.
Step 2: Place your Watch on the magnetic charger. Gently press the Watch towards the HiRise until it is flush with HiRise and resting on the protective silicone. Like this:
Step 3: You’re finished!
Tip: When an alarm is going off, tapping the screen will Dismiss, not Snooze the alarm. We expected it to be snooze, and were late for work. So, remember to Pinch the Digital Crown for a few extra minutes of ZZZs. Unless, of course, it’s Saturday, then tap away.
Once you find where your Watch will rest against the silicone, it shouldn’t take any additional adjustment. We have tried it with a bunch of bands, and have had reliable results. However, be cautious the first time you’re setting it up with a new band, or after you switch bands.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that HiRise works with Nightstand mode! If you have a tip or trick that works for you that we should know about, tell us! We’d love to hear how you use your HiRise.
*We have found that using your HiRise in Nightstand mode is compatible with most bands, but isn’t compatible with the Link bracelet. This is due to the Band being too heavy for the magnet charger to hold it in place. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and if you would like to know when we come out with more products for the Apple Watch, sign up here.
