Does PlugBug need to be plugged in for Find My tracking to work?
Due to specific electrical regulations, the power for the Find My portion of PlugBug is completely separate & isolated from the AC charger. To power Find My, PlugBug uses the same replaceable button battery as the Apple AirTag, and should last about a year. You can also monitor battery status directly in the Find My app.
Does it matter which port I plug my device into?
No, because of dynamic Power Delivery, you can plug your device into any port to get the available charging wattage. When multiple devices are plugged in, PlugBug will deliver the required wattage to each device. Check out the chart to see how this works:

    Amazing charger

    Slim, portable, interchangeable plugs for international travel and a find my tracker make this the best charger I have compared to others I have bought in the past.     Already paid for itself.

    I needed a replacement for my USB power block.

    On an extended trip I used the new Plug Bug to keep my iPhone, iPad, Microsoft Studio and MackBook powered without a hitch and no clutter.

    Had to swap hotels and I forgot the power Bug.

    When I got to the new hotel I started to set up again.

    Once I searched everything I used my phone to find the PlugBug. It had moved — I called the front desk … the manager had already sent it to my new hotel. I could watch the delivery service on his way.
