Turn your laptop into a desktop.

- Also available for: iPad iPad mini iPad Air MacBook Air
Our new BookArc has been redesigned and engineered to make it the ultimate stand for MacBook Pro and MacBook Pro with Retina display. Its soft silicone insert is molded to follow the gentle curves of MacBook Pro for a precise fit. So park your MacBook Pro in this stand and watch your laptop become the ultimate desktop. BookArc is designed exclusively for the MacBook Pro (unibody) and MacBook Pro with Retina display.
Compared to your MacBook Pro lying flat on your desk, BookArc for MacBook Pro takes up a fraction of the space... giving your workspace a clean, less cluttered look. And soft silicone feet provide sturdy footing that won't leave marks on your desk. Go ahead and say "om."
Focus on one big screen.
Why work with your beautiful Retina Display closed with your MacBook Pro resting in a BookArc? While the Retina Display is amazing, pixels are pixels and size is size. A 27-inch external display dwarfs a 15-inch monitor when it comes to editing movies in Final Cut Pro, retouching photos in Aperture, scanning huge spreadsheets in Numbers or viewing multiple apps at once. Use your Retina Display on the road and BookArc Pro and a desktop monitor at home.
Hidden cable managment system.
Underneath BookArc for MacBook Pro are two hidden cable managers that prevent your monitor, USB, and power cables from slipping to the floor when you unplug your MacBook Pro. The new BookArc for MacBook Pro also ships with an insert custom made for MacBook Pro with Retina display.
BookArc can help boost productivity.
Did you know you can work with your MacBook Pro closed when connected to an external monitor? You can. Using your MacBook in Closed-Clamshell Mode in a BookArc can also give your MacBook a performance boost, compared to a dual-monitor setup. How? When you close your MacBook, your system automatically dedicates 100% of its video memory to the external display rather than splitting it with the built-in display.
Depending on your MacBook model, you can see snappier graphics and faster screen refreshes, especially when working in graphics-intensive applications like Aperture and Photoshop. BookArc didn’t create the feature, but it can teach your MacBook the trick.

- Ok, now why would I want to use my MacBook closed?
Many reasons, but basically it boils down to wanting a portable notebook on the road, and a comfortable desktop computer at home. Using your MacBook closed on a BookArc while connected to your favorite widescreen monitor, keyboard and mouse is truly the best of both worlds.
- Is BookArc Pro compatible with the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display?
Yes. BookArc Pro includes an insert made just for both the 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display models. Owners of the original BookArc for MacBook can add MacBook Pro with Retina display compatibility to their existing stand by purchasing the Retina display insert.

Yes. A BookArc Upgrade Kit is now available that will update a previous generation BookArc to the new BookArc Pro. It will add the new improved fit for unibody MacBook Pro models and the cable management system - but not the redesigned feet. The BookArc Upgrade Kit can be purchased for $14.99.
