This week Apple made some colorful announcements that have us positively spring-loaded for their new arrivals. Check out our recap for highlights from their event, reactions from our team and recommendations for how to get the most out of the new M1 iMac and iPad Pro!

We are liv-ing... in an M1 world ūüé∂

1.   Apple began its event by highlighting its Apple Card perks, perhaps to get you in the spending mood for all of the announcements to follow. You can now share one Apple Card with the entire family, setting spending limits for the kids (or yourself).

2. With the introduction of Apple Podcast subscriptions, you can now enjoy a premium experience when listening to your favorite podcasts. You'll get exclusive content, commercial-free listening and early access to new series. We can't wait to discover our next podcast obsession through their new channels feature, which groups shows based on your favorite creators.

3. While there weren't any iOS announcements for iPhone, Apple did release a new *PURPLE* iPhone, perfect for spring and more importantly, Prince fans. For those of you that were holding out on upgrading to the iPhone 12, now's your time!
"Mmmmm, purple." - Marlee

4. We've heard whispers of AirTags for a while now and they're finally here! While you may think their just a more expensive version of Tile, they certainly come with all the bells and whistles that one would expect from Apple, including precision location, advanced privacy and security measures and third party accessories from Hermès, no less!
"Ok but the real question is how do I attach them to my glasses?" - Bobby

5.¬†Apple announced its latest¬†Apple TV¬†with 4K Dolby Vision and color balance technology¬†so that you can¬†enjoy Ted Lasso the way it was meant to be seen! The real star of the show - the new Apple TV remote featuring a throwback to the original iPod wheel.¬†ūüĒė
"Woohoo! Ted Lasso! Love that show." - Kyle

6.¬†The "iPod wheel" on the new Apple TV remote wasn't the only throwback. Apple also introduced their new line of¬†M1 iMacs¬†in SEVEN lovely colors, with matching cables and keyboards.¬†ūüĆą¬† This announcement was all about color and not just the new iMacs, but the BILLION colors you can now see with their 4.5K Retina displays.¬†
"Should we do a matching candle set?" - Matt

7. Along with color-coordinated accessories like Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard, the new M1 Mac also features a woven color-matching cable and power connector. With 4 USB-C ports, you'll want to keep all of the other necessary connections out of sight with StayGo USB-C Hub. Its extra-long desktop cable will allow you to keep your workspace nice and tidy, so your new M1 Mac's beautiful color can really shine!

8. Anyone else notice the Nashville easter egg during the iPad presentation? We loved seeing a glimpse of our old stomping grounds in 12 South! Yep, that's right, that's where our name comes from. :)

9. With device continuity, working between your iMac and iPad is even more convenient. With easy device hand off, you can pick up where you left off from one device to the next. The universal clipboard lets you bring copy from your iPhone or iPad directly to the email you're writing on your iMac. Set your iPad on our Compass Pro stand so it will be ready for action.

10.¬†The¬†new Magic Keyboard¬†not only comes in 7 colors to match the new iMacs, it has some exciting new upgrades! You can now engage Touch ID, auto-lock, spotlight search and your emoji keyboard all with the press of a button. Now your favorite reaction emoji will always be close at hand. ūüôĆ

11. The new Center Stage functionality of iPad cameras truly makes us feel like we're living in the future. iPad's new Ultra Wide front camera keeps you in the center of the frame, even as you move around! We can't wait to see it in action, with iPad perfectly held in HoverBar Duo for the best angle for video calls.
"Now I will have to actually hide under my desk if I need to pick something out of my teeth off camera." - Dan

12.¬†With the new¬†iPadOS 14.5¬†coming next week, gaming on iPad will now be a 4D experience with haptic response support for your favorite controllers.¬†ūüéģ What's your favorite game to play on iPad?¬†¬†

The new M1 iMacs will begin shipping the second half of May and we can't wait to get our hands on these colorful new devices! In the meantime, check out our favorite accessories for the latest Apple devices and stay tuned for more updates about compatibility coming soon.
