BackPack for iMac
Little shelf that is out of sight, but not out of reach.
- Designed for: iMac & Cinema Display
BackPack is a sleek, sturdy shelf, available in silver or black, designed exclusively for your iMac. Hang one, or two, of these gorgeous thin steel shelves on the back of your iMac to hide hard drives and USB peripherals, or to display awards, Stormtroopers, business cards or flowers. Included vertical support pegs prop up tall drives or a favorite album from your vinyl collection. Half the fun of owning a BackPack is being creative with what you display or store on it.
Hidden yet helpful.
BackPack is the perfect place to park portable hard drives or other USB peripheral you want to hide, but need easy access to every now and then. Set your USB hub on the shelf and tie your cables to it for a super tidy workspace. BackPack is also a handy home to stash your iPhone or other devices while charging and syncing.
Because it’s height adjustable, there’s room for more than one BackPack in your life. Hang one low for hard drives and add a second one for hubs and gear (or a Transformer). If the back of your iMac faces the room, a BackPack or two is a completely fun, new way to personalize both your iMac and your workspace. The choice of what to display on your BackPack is completely yours.
Uses gravity to hang tight.
BackPack hangs on the front or back of the L-shaped desk stand on iMacs and Apple Displays, using gravity and two simple, adjustable clips. Because the BackPack uses gravity to stay in place, it will not leave any scratches or marks on your machine.
VIP parking for gadgets and gear.
BackPack is the perfect place to park portable hard drives, hubs or other USB peripherals you want to hide, but need easy access to. Built-in cable management rails on each side of BackPack keep your cables in place. No more watching your power cable slip to the floor when you unplug. You can even tie the extra length of cable to the BackPack rails to keep things super tidy. When you bring your hard drive back to your Mac, your cables are ready and waiting.
Tall is no problem for this small shelf.
BackPack includes four vertical support pegs that can be arranged in different formations to accommodate a wide range of vertical devices. The vertical support pegs can be used to safely and securely prop up hard drives, store a MacBook or hold any other device that weighs up to 3.5 pounds. Coated with soft silicone, the support pegs won’t leave any marks on your gear and BackPack also includes a silicone landing pad providing even more protection for you devices.

Height adjustable. This handy shelf has two adjustable clips that allow you to position BackPack at your desired height on your Mac. You can even hang two BackPacks on one Mac.
Hidden gem. BackPack stays hidden behind your Mac, but whatever you park on the shelf is always within reach. Because BackPack is elevated and perforated giving your gear maximum ventilation and heat relief.

- Isn’t Time Capsule too large for the BackPack shelf?
Positioned flat, Time Capsule or a Mac Mini would be too large for BackPack, however, the four included vertical support pegs let you safely and securely prop up Time Capsule, a Mac Mini or any other hard drive in a vertical position.
- Does the shelf screw into my iMac Stand? Will it scratch it?
No. The clips, when tightened, are a fixed width apart. The BackPack shelf is then held onto the iMac stand with gravity! The only thing that actually touches the stand is the non-scratch, plastic Fit Inserts.
- Can I use BackPack for holding my MacBook Pro on the back of my iMac/Apple Display?
It depends on which MacBook Pro you have! BackPack has a weight limit of 3.5 pounds, which unfortunately will not work with the majority of the Pro's with the exception of the brand new 2016 launch 13" MacBook Pro (3.02 pounds). It will also work perfectly with a MacBook Air (2.96 pounds) or Mac Mini (2.7 pounds), but not most MacBook Pro models.
