BookBook for iPad
A library of BookBooks just for iPad.
- Designed for: iPad iPad mini iPad mini 4 iPad Air iPad Air 2
Our BookBook for iPad family includes cases for iPad, iPad Air and iPad mini. Each BookBook is a handmade, one-of-a-kind, hardback leather case designed to protect and enhance your iPad experience. Protection comes in the form of two hardback book covers, reinforced corners and a rigid spine. Inside you’ll find a padded interior, along with a built-in display and typing stand. As a bonus, BookBook disguises iPad as an vintage book, adding a level of theft protection.
Two stands in one... BookBook.
When you first open BookBook, you’ll see the interior support frame that holds your iPad securely in place and showcases the beautiful display. Fold out the support frame and it forms a convenient display stand for FaceTime chats, movie watching or playing an iPhoto slideshow. Over 30 degrees of angle adjustment ensure you’ll find a perfect viewing angle.
Neatly tucked under the interior support frame lies a built-in typing stand. Flip up the support frame, fold out the typing stand and go to town on emails, Facebook updates or launch Pages and work on writing your novel from the comfort of a BookBook.
The perfect disguise for prying eyes.
One of the greatest features of BookBook for iPad is the stealthy security it delivers. Tucked inside BookBook, no one will ever see your iPad, even when it’s right under their nose. Sitting on a coffee table, a desk, or in a dorm room, BookBook for iPad looks like a vintage piece of literature, not an expensive iPad. We have received many letters from customers telling us that their homes or cars were broken into but the thieves left behind their iPads thinking they were just old books. BookBook is a great disguise and a simple way to reduce the risk of getting your iPad, and all of its valuable content, stolen.
Rutledge Edition re-writes the book on finishing leather.
Want something even more special? The Rutledge Edition of BookBook is the most distinctive version of BookBook, and its remarkable design is a story in itself. We developed an entirely new technique for applying multiple layers of color, then carefully removing selected elements – revealing a radiant tapestry of hues and patterns. Each cover reveals a slightly different finish, as the brilliant tones follow the natural grain of the leather itself. This creates a premium yet distinctive look you won’t see on any other “me too” case or sleeve. Rutledge is a show stopper – and conversation starter – at the same time.
Curl up with a good BookBook.
Reading books on iPad is cool. Reading books on an iPad tucked into a BookBook for iPad is even cooler because it feels just like holding every old book you’ve ever held. BookBook for iPad has a dark colored, soft suede interior that doesn’t distract your eyes when viewing your iPad. That soft interior also keeps your iPad scratch-free. BookBook for iPad is a great way to enjoy a much more organic reading experience with iPad.
Meet the whole family.

Chances are, a big part of your life - photos, music, work, school work and other important documents are stored on your iPad. It’s critical to protect it as best you can. BookBook is a hardback case with a leather spine that offers superior protection as you shuttle your iPad from place to place.
- Is there an auto on/off magnet in BookBook for iPad?
No, a magnet was not incorporated into BookBook for iPad.
- How is BookBook different from other cases?
Along with a totally unique look and solid protection, BookBook features a built-in display stand and a typing stand. You can use your iPad hands free for FaceTime chats and watching movies or videos. The built-in typing stand positions iPad at a comfortable angle for working on emails, documents or telling your Facebook friends how cool your new BookBook is.
- Why does BookBook for iPad have two zippers?
Dual zippers allow easy access to any port on iPad while keeping it zipped securely in BookBook. Position the zippers at the bottom of BookBook to charge and sync your iPad, or zip them to the top for easy access to the headphone jack.
- How can I best care for the leather of my BookBook for iPad?
Although some customers do like to use products to clean or condition the leather, we don't actually 'recommend' it because we increasingly like our own BookBooks as they become more scratched and stained. We feel they look more authentically distressed and vintage, and become more 'individual'. It's like loving a much-used family antique more than something new and shiny.
- Do I have to take my iPad out of BookBook to take a picture?
No. Simply unzip the case, lift the iPad out by the interior frame, and snap your picture.
