StayGo USB-C Hub FAQs

Can I use StayGo's pass-through power with my iPad Pro or iPad Air (4th gen)?
StayGo requires 15 watts of power when using the pass-through power feature. All remaining power will be sent directly to the connected iPad/MacBook. With smaller power adapters (like the 18W iPad Pro adapter or 30W MacBook Air adapter), you may want to consider using a higher wattage power supply to provide enough power to your device while using StayGo. If you do not need to use pass-through power, StayGo works great connected directly to your MacBook/iPad as it receives its power from the device itself.

I’ve had a lot of hubs and this is the best design by far. I’ve bought two of them in fact. Why?

The main reason is that the long detachable cable allows flexible configurations that get the laptop out of the way, so you can even have it clamshell on a shelf and have a clean workspace at your desk. The small detachable cable is handy for traveling, or for laptop open setups, and because it’s stored in the compartment it doesn’t get lost as an extra piece that needs to be kept track of separately.

Also, the powered port allows using more demanding peripherals like a webcam.

Also, it looks nice!

The only downside is that I suspect it causes mischief on your network to leave it connected to Ethernet when no laptop is attached. But as far as I can tell, this issue afflicts every hub in this price range since they all inherit this flaw from the one or two chipsets that are used in this price range.
